KOHLS

Kohls is offering 40 to 50 percent off its most expensive labels like Vera Wang and Elle, something it didn't do last year.

It’s also offering 300 early bird specials, that’s 20 percent more than last year.
Even high-end stores like Nordstrom are playing the price game. It’s had a policy to beat the price on any like item for years, but the chain has put up signs this year reminding shoppers of that policy.

But buyers should beware not all Black Friday prices are really sales.
A comparison between sale flyers from the past month and Black Friday ads posted online turned up some interesting numbers.

TheKohls Black Friday ad shows a 7-cup Cuisinart food processor for $149.99, that's the same price the food processor was advertised for in a Kohls ad from the week of Nov. 12.
Even more interesting, it was cheaper last year. A look at Kohls Black Friday ad from 2007 shows the same Cuisinart on sale for $99.99.

Best Buys online Black Friday ad features a Sony Blu Ray disc player for $249, that’s $50 cheaper than Best Buy was selling it for in a sale in late October. As usual, Wal-Mart offers some of the deepest Black Friday discounts.

It is offering a 50 inch Samsung plasma HD TV for $798, a Magnavox Blu Ray player for $128 and a Garmin GPS for $97 .

There is a catch though; prices are only good while supplies last.
