PS3 Update 3.40 Download released! – Do you have the latest PS3 Update? Sony has finally released PS3 system update 3.40 that brings along PlayStation Plus, a new paid subscription service for PS3 owners. The PS3 update 3.40 provides a bunch of other features and PlayStation Portable gaming console owners also get firmware 6.30 update that brings an option to organize games into a group of folders.
The new PlayStation Plus is a paid subscription service for PlayStation Network owners that offers options for accessing exclusive gaming content, take part in beta testing of games, full game trails, automatic downloads, and free PSP Mini games every month. Besides that, the PS3 system update 3.40 also brought network based photo sharing feature option that allows upload, browser and even comment on the photos on Picasa Web and Facebook albums.
If you've recorded any cool video of your gameplay, the new Video Editor and Uploader feature in XMB will be quite handy to post a few on Facebook or YouTube. Users can rate the stuff purchased from PlayStation Store from one to five star ratings.
Apart from these, a separate Facebook application for PlayStation Network would be available and would allow publishing PlayStation Store activities on Facebook.

Resurgence Map Pack Release
Infinity Ward's highly successful Stimulus Package follow-up comes the Resurgence Map Pack release. It will be released today (June 3rd, 2010) on Xbox Live, priced at $15. "Resurgence Pack," is expected to add five maps to "Modern Warfare 2."
The pack will be a timed exclusive on Xbox 360, with PC and PS3 versions coming sometime afterwards. Two map packs were always planned for "Modern Warfare 2," with the potential for more coming after those released.
